Today, a candle march organized by Mahanagar Congress Dehradun was taken out from the Congress headquarters under the leadership of State President Mr. Karan Mahara ji, former Chief Minister Mr. Harish Rawat, National Secretary Qazi Nizamuddin. Addressing the gathering, Karan Mahara ji said that on the call of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Congress has sounded the trumpet of agitation in Uttarakhand against the alleged vote theft happening in connivance with the ruling BJP and Election Commission in the country.
Uttarakhand State Congress President Karan Mahara organized a grand candle march in the capital with the message “Vote Chor – Gaddi Chhodo” (Vote Chor – Gaddi Chhodo). On this occasion, National Secretary Qazi Nizamuddin said, “This campaign of Rahul Gandhi is a resolution to end the politics of vote theft in the country. Its echo will go from Dehradun to entire Uttarakhand.” On this occasion, Mahanagar Congress Committee, Dehradun President Dr. Jaswinder Singh Gogi said, “This is not just a political movement, but a resolution to protect democracy.
