Dehradun: Doon Police along with BSF has handed over 5 Bangladeshi citizens to Bangladeshi agency. Dehradun Police had detained these Bangladeshi citizens from Patel Nagar area during the verification campaign. All of them were residing here illegally. As per the instructions issued by the Government of India, all five Bangladeshi citizens have been deported to Bangladesh.
Let us tell you that on May 20, during the verification campaign, during a joint operation conducted by Doon Police and STF, five (four women and one man) suspected Bangladeshi residents were detained from Kotwali Patel Nagar area. During joint interrogation, sufficient evidence was found of all five persons being Bangladeshi citizens. After which, in sequence of the instructions issued by the Government of India, Dehradun Police took action to deport the five Bangladeshi citizens as per the rules. All five Bangladeshis were detained and kept in Haridwar 40th Battalion.
SSP Ajay Singh said that a police team was formed to deport Bangladeshi citizens illegally residing in India as per the instructions issued by the Government of India. The police, in constant touch with the BSF officials, handed over 5 Bangladeshi citizens to the Bangladeshi agency at the Bangladesh border through the BSF on June 10 in a short period of time as per the instructions issued by the Government of India.
