New Delhi/Dehradun: Uttarakhand MPs met Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. In the meeting held in New Delhi, the MPs gave PM Modi an update about the disaster in Dharali, Uttarkashi. Uttarakhand MPs met PM Modi: Three Lok Sabha and one Rajya Sabha MP from Uttarakhand met PM Modi in his office in the Parliament complex today. The Lok Sabha MPs who met the PM included Pauri MP Anil Baluni, Tehri Garhwal MP Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah and Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar MP Ajay Bhatt. Rajya Sabha MP and Uttarakhand BJP President Mahendra Bhatt also met PM Modi.
Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah will visit the disaster affected area: After meeting PM Modi, Tehri Garhwal MP Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah, whose parliamentary constituency Uttarkashi Dharali is hit by a disaster, said that the PM has assured all possible help. Mala said that she is leaving from Delhi today. By Thursday evening, she will reach disaster-hit Dharali in Uttarkashi. She said that I will stay there for a few days and meet the disaster-affected people and see the relief and rescue operations. When she was asked that the opposition Congress leaders are accusing her of not being in the area at the time of the disaster, she said that the opposition should not say such things at the time of disaster. Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah said that those who do not know the conditions of the mountains are saying such things.
Trivendra also met the PM: Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat also met PM Modi. After the meeting, Trivendra Rawat said that as soon as the disaster struck, the army and ITBP started the rescue operation within 15 minutes. The injured are being treated in the army hospital. The best facilities are being provided to the injured. Arrangements have been made for the stay and food of those who have become homeless. Trivendra said that the communication system is disrupted due to damage to the electricity poles, this is the biggest problem. Mahendra Bhatt said time for relief and rescue: Rajya Sabha MP and Uttarakhand BJP President Mahendra Bhatt also met PM Modi. He said that the government and the Meteorological Department have issued an alert. Travel was stopped. Information is being collected about the extent of damage.
