In Dhargada of Chuyrani Gram Sabha of Barakot block of Champawat district, a leopard attacked and killed Dev Singh Adhikari (42), son of Kalyan Singh Adhikari, who had gone to defecate on Tuesday morning. This incident has spread panic in the entire area. A large number of villagers from the surrounding area reached the spot. There was widespread anger in the area due to the incident.
The villagers have demanded the forest department to declare the leopard a man-eater and kill it. A team of the forest department led by Forest Inspector Prakash Giri Goswami of Kali Kumaon Range reached the spot
