Dehradun: Uttarakhand Forest Department is going to get a new head soon. In fact, after completing all the formalities from the Center, DPC is going to be held for this in the Uttarakhand government. For which preparations have been completed.
Preparations for the coronation of the Chief Forest Conservator Half in the state have been completed. The department is now going to get the 17th forest chief. For this, DPC has been called in the government on Friday. In which the name of the new Chief Forest Conservator Half will be decided. Preparations have also been completed by the government for the meeting of DPC (Departmental Promotion Committee).
The DPC meeting will be chaired by Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan. In which there will be Principal Secretary Forest RK Sudhanshu, Secretary Personnel Shailesh Bagauli and officers nominated by the Government of India for DPC. It is reported that the Government of India has nominated the Half of Uttar Pradesh Forest Department for promotion to the post of Chief Forest Conservator Half.
Earlier, the Uttarakhand government had completed the formalities related to correspondence with the Government of India regarding the DPC. After which this meeting is now being called. After the permission of the central government, the way has been cleared for the selection of the new HOD in the state.
In Uttarakhand, till now the selection of the Chief Forest Conservator HOD has been done on the basis of seniority. In this regard, Sameer Sinha, the most senior officer in the Uttarakhand Forest Department, is going to get this responsibility. At present, Sameer Sinha is working on this post as an additional charge. After the DPC, he will take over this responsibility in full flash.
This post was vacant after the voluntary retirement of Dhananjay Mohan, who was the Chief Forest Conservator HOD in Uttarakhand. Sameer Sinha will be the 17th Chief Forest Conservator HOD. This number also includes the figures of Rajiv Bharatri and Vinod Singhal becoming HOD twice.
