The state will observe a public holiday on Wednesday on the occasion of Navami. Previously, this was a restricted holiday, but several employee organizations had demanded that it be made a public holiday. According to an order issued by Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman, October 1st will be a public holiday in the state for Navami.
