The proposed Rispa and Bindal elevated projects (four-lane) in the city will receive exemptions from GST and royalty payments for their construction. The Dhami cabinet approved the related proposal. The total project is estimated to receive a GST exemption of ₹525 crore and a royalty exemption of ₹46 crore.
The proposal presented to the cabinet stated that the construction of the proposed Rispa and Bindal elevated corridor projects, aimed at reducing increasing traffic congestion in Dehradun city, will be undertaken by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has agreed to bear the entire expenditure for the civil construction work of both projects, with the condition that the state government will bear the costs of land acquisition and utility shifting.
