- Seeing the attitude of the opposition in the monsoon session, the MLAs of the ruling party, who remained silent on the first day, came out in protest on the second day. While the BJP MLAs protested with placards in the House, for the first time, they also protested against the opposition by taking out a rally outside the House. As soon as the proceedings of the House began on Wednesday morning, the MLAs of the ruling party also appeared aggressive amidst the opposition’s protest. They said that the Congress is behaving indecently inside the House. Congress MLAs have come here only to enjoy a picnic. Congress did not raise a single issue of public interest. Congress is running away from the issues of Dharali disaster and development of the state. The MLAs of the ruling party reached the House with placards in their hands, on which anti-Congress slogans were written. However, after the instructions of Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, all the placards were removed. Amidst the opposition’s protest, the MLAs of the ruling party also kept speaking continuously. There was also a lot of taunting, which led to a dispute between the two. However, the matter calmed down after Parliamentary Affairs Minister Subodh Uniyal intervened. After this, the MLAs of the ruling party protested against the opposition by taking out a rally outside the House. They said that the Congress MLAs have insulted democracy. The dignity of the democratic process has been torn to shreds. BJP’s Rudraprayag MLA Bharat Chaudhary said that the way the opposition has acted irresponsibly inside the House. The property of the House has been damaged. They are running away from the discussion, they are very upset with the defeat in the Panchayat elections. The result of that upset is that they did not let the House function. MLA Suresh Gadiya said that there has been a lot of damage due to the Dharali disaster. Our people are in trouble. We all wanted the session to go well and some good package should be given to them from here. But the Congress did not let the House function. MLA Sarita Arya said that we wanted all the issues to be discussed but the opposition did not let the House function. The government spent so much but the opposition did not even allow the disaster to be discussed
