An Ekta March will be organised on the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Various programmes will be organised at the state and national level during this period. Sports Minister Rekha Arya gave this information in a press conference held at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
In the press conference, Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya informed that free registration for the Ekta March to be held on October 31st can be done through the Mera Bharat portal. There is no limit on the number and age for registration. This process has started from October 6th.
Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya informed that in the second phase of the events, Ekta Marches will be organised in all 13 districts of the state from October 31st to November 16th. This will be in the form of a walk of approximately 8 to 10 kilometres. Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya stated that after two phases, those selected will have the opportunity to participate in the third phase, which will run from November 26th to December 6th.
This phase will include a 152-kilometer walk from Nadiad in Gujarat, the birthplace of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, to the Statue of Unity in Narmada district. Sports Minister Rekha Arya appealed to the people of the state to participate in this event in large numbers.
