Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami lauded the Union Budget 2026-27. He said that this budget will give a new direction to the development of the country and the states, and will also increase opportunities for all sections of society. The budget emphasizes accelerating economic growth, fulfilling people’s aspirations, and ensuring inclusive development for all.
The Chief Minister said that the budget includes significant provisions for employment, education, health, tourism, skill development, women’s empowerment, industry, and infrastructure. These will prove beneficial for Uttarakhand, as well as the entire country, and will increase employment opportunities for local youth.
The budget includes a plan to develop eco-friendly mountain trails in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu and Kashmir. From Uttarakhand’s perspective, the budget focuses on tourism and infrastructure, which are essential for development.
He said that the budget provisions for farmers, animal husbandry, high-value agriculture, tourism, and MSMEs will strengthen the state’s rural and mountainous economy. The Chief Minister said that the investments made in the budget in environment and energy security, digital technology, and the biopharma sector will ensure long-term benefits for both the state and the country.
Chief Minister Dhami said that this budget has been prepared keeping in mind the objectives of inclusive development and a self-reliant India. He said that the Uttarakhand government will fully cooperate with the central government to effectively implement the schemes and provisions announced in the budget.
