New Delhi: Ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, has been continuously targeting the central government on the issue of alleged “vote theft.” On Tuesday, he targeted the government on the issue of rising unemployment. The Congress leader criticized the Modi government for failing to address the problem of rising unemployment among youth, linking it to vote fraud and vote theft.
On social media, he wrote, “Unemployment is the biggest problem facing youth in India, and it is directly linked to vote theft. When a government comes to power by winning the public’s trust, its first duty is to provide employment and opportunities to the youth. But the BJP does not win elections honestly—they remain in power by stealing votes and seizing institutions. That is why unemployment has reached a 45-year high.”
Rahul Gandhi also shared two videos in his post. In one video, police are seen lathi-charging some protesting students. The second video shows Prime Minister Narendra Modi planting and watering a sapling.
Rahul wrote in the post, “The youth of the country work hard, dream, and strive for their future. But Modi is only busy with his PR, getting himself praised by celebrities, and the profits of billionaires. Shattering the hopes of the youth and disappointing them has become the hallmark of this government.”
Rahul Gandhi also raised the issue of paper leaks in his post. He alleged how recruitment processes are collapsing. He wrote in the post that every exam is linked to stories of paper leaks and every recruitment is linked to corruption. He claimed that jobs are declining, recruitment processes have collapsed, and the future of the youth is being pushed into darkness.
Expressing hope at the end of his post, Rahul Gandhi wrote, “Things are changing now. India’s youth have understood that the real fight isn’t just for jobs, but against vote theft. Because as long as elections are stolen, unemployment and corruption will continue to rise. Now, the youth will neither tolerate job theft nor vote theft. Freeing India from unemployment and vote theft is the greatest patriotism now.”
