The CBI has made its first arrest in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak case. According to reports, Assistant Professor Suman, accused of solving the paper for the main accused, Khalid, has been arrested by the CBI. An FIR was recently registered in this matter.

On September 21st, the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission conducted a graduate-level recruitment examination. During this examination, a paper leak was reported from a center in Haridwar. Youths, questioning the integrity of the examination, began a sit-in protest near the Parade Ground on the night of September 21st. Several rounds of talks were held with the youth, but no agreement was reached for several days. Meanwhile, the police registered a case and were investigating.
Two accused were arrested. A single-inquiry commission was also formed. Despite this, the youth remained adamant on demanding a CBI investigation and the cancellation of the examination. In such a situation, on September 29, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the protest site among the youth and from there recommended a CBI investigation.
