An SIT will investigate complaints related to the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) graduate-level recruitment exam. The government has set a one-month deadline for the SIT to submit its investigation report. The SIT will work under the supervision of a retired High Court judge.
Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan, speaking to the media, stated that the state government prioritizes transparency and integrity of the examination system, as well as the interests of candidates. Therefore, the investigation has been assigned to an SIT headed by an Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP)-level officer. The SIT will investigate all aspects of the recruitment exam paper leak and submit a report. The retired judge and the SIT will visit all districts, during which time anyone can provide facts and information related to the exam.
He stated that the investigation will be completed within a month, and the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission will not take any further action regarding the exam until then. Strict action will be taken against those found guilty in the SIT investigation. Necessary steps will also be taken to prevent such incidents in the future. Also, strict action will be taken against anyone found negligent at the Haridwar examination centre, which is at the centre of the controversy
