The Transport Corporation management, facing a severe financial crisis, has cancelled the leave of all officers and employees. The corporation management states that only if everyone works together will they be able to pay salaries.
The Corporation’s General Manager, Operations, Kranti Singh, issued a letter to all divisional managers and officers on Tuesday. He stated that the Corporation’s bus operations have been disrupted in recent months due to excessive rainfall, disasters, road closures, and other reasons.
This has led to a dire financial situation. Employees are not receiving their salaries on time. Payments to retired employees in March and beyond are also pending.
The peak season has now begun. In the coming days, during Dussehra and Diwali, a large number of passengers are expected at roadways bus stations and routes, which will increase the Corporation’s revenue. Therefore, it has been decided that, except for unavoidable reasons, leave will not be granted to any officer, deputy officer, or employee of the Corporation. Everyone will contribute their full efforts.
