A tragic road accident took place on the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway this morning. In which a truck driver died on the spot. While the dumper driver was injured. This accident took place near Patanjali Ashram located in Mulyagaon near Devprayag.
According to the information received from the police, SHO Lakhpat Singh Butola said that on Tuesday morning, an empty dumper going from Devprayag to Srinagar and a truck coming from Srinagar to Rishikesh collided head-on. The collision was so severe that the front part of the truck was completely damaged and the truck driver got badly trapped in it.
The truck driver who lost his life in this horrific accident has been identified as Tajbar Singh son of Shri Govind, resident of Ganesh Nagar, Rudraprayag. At the same time, dumper driver Mahavir Mahar son of Surjan Singh, village Gyanasu, Tehri has been injured, who has been sent to the hospital for immediate treatment. Both the vehicles have been removed from the road and sidelined by the police. Further action is being taken
