A tragic accident took place on Monday morning near Siddhbali temple on Kotdwar-Pauri highway. A huge rock and debris suddenly fell from the hill on the Max coming from Kilbokhal to Kotdwar. In the accident, two people in the vehicle died on the spot, while five people were injured.
The deceased have been identified as Satbir (20) and Ravindra alias Mota (32), who were residents of Pauri Garhwal district. The injured people have been admitted to Base Hospital Kotdwar, among whom seriously injured driver Devendra and Dinesh are being referred to a higher center.
The injured include Meenakshi, Pankaj, Simran, Devendra and Dinesh. After the incident, the administration and relief teams reached the spot and the injured were sent to the hospital. There is a danger of landslides due to continuous rain in the hilly area.
