Questions about road design and traffic management
This accident has again raised questions about road design and traffic management at the ISBT intersection. This area is one of the busiest intersections in Dehradun. This route is heavily congested with interstate buses and local traffic, especially during the morning and evening hours. Eyewitnesses say that incidents of violation of traffic rules are common at the intersection due to the gathering of passenger vehicles and buses picking up and dropping passengers. Many vehicles try to pass at very high speed, due to which pedestrians crossing the road get hit by the vehicles and become victims of accidents.
