A tragic accident near the Sarovar Hotel on October 23rd shattered the small world of Asha Singh and her three children. Her 19-year-old daughter, Pragya Singh, was seriously injured in the accident and remains in a coma. Her mother sits outside the ICU, hoping for her life.
Pragya, who was studying for an LLB at Uttarakhand University in Dehradun, was returning from Delhi on the evening of the accident and was involved in the accident in front of the Sarovar Hotel. Patel Nagar Police Station Officer Chandrabhan Adhikari stated that it was a hit-and-run case. The accident occurred between 4 and 4:20 pm.
Pragya had just gotten off the bus and was walking when a speeding car hit her from behind. The driver fled with the vehicle. Meanwhile, Asha Singh, her mother, said that her husband is gone and she is single-handedly raising three children.
The accident has devastated the family. He said that Pragya’s youngest brother, 13, is in shock. He is alone at home, while she spends all her time visiting hospitals and police stations to be with her daughter.
