Two people died and two others were injured after a tractor-trolley overturned near Chintoli on the Chintoli-Nagchula Khal motor road, within the jurisdiction of the Deghat Police Station in Almora district. The injured individuals were initially taken to a local hospital; however, given the severity of their condition, doctors referred them to a higher medical center. Both the deceased and the injured are residents of Chintoli.
On Sunday, a tractor-trolley was traveling from Garhwal towards Chintoli. The vehicle met with an accident and overturned near Chintoli on the Chintoli-Nagchula Khal motor road, resulting in injuries to four individuals. Village Guard Chandan Singh immediately informed the Deghat Police Station about the incident. Acting on this information, the police reached the accident site.
With the assistance of local villagers, the police transported all the injured individuals to the Community Health Center in Deghat for treatment. After conducting an examination, doctors declared Darshan Singh (24) and Chandan Singh (24)โboth residents of Chintoli villageโdead.
The injured individuals, Gopal Singh (24) and Narendra Singh (18)โboth residents of Chintoli villageโwere referred to a higher medical center following the administration of primary treatment. The police stated that the exact cause of the accident has not yet been ascertained.
