The police has solved the case of the murder of a youth in Daluwala-Majbata of Sidkul police station area in Haridwar. The murder was done by the sister-in-law of the youth with her lover and his friend. The husband of the woman sold his share of land and went to Hyderabad with his wife and children.
After the brother-in-law got out of the way, the conspiracy of murder was hatched to grab the land of the house and village and to clear the way to meet the lover. The police have arrested the accused Sonia, Choto and Akbar. The police have also recovered the axe and moped used in the murder. The accused were presented in the court and sent to jail.
Senior Superintendent of Police Pramod Singh Dobal said that on July 18, the body of Neetu son of Bhuri Singh resident Khalatira was found in the bushes on the roadside in Daluwala Majbata. Neetu’s brother Rakesh, who lives in Hyderabad, reached here on July 20 and registered a case of murder. A team was formed under the leadership of Inspector Manohar Singh Bhandari and deployed for the disclosure.
On Monday, after getting clues from CCTV cameras and call details, accused Chhota and Akbar, residents of Hazaragrant and Sonia, resident of Khalatira, Sidkul police station, were arrested. On strict interrogation, all three accused confessed to killing Neetu.
The SSP said that during interrogation, Chhota told that he had a love affair with Neetu’s sister-in-law Sonia. Sonia’s husband had sold his share of the house and land and moved to Hyderabad with her. Sonia had her eyes on her brother-in-law’s house and land. Therefore, she hatched a conspiracy to eliminate her brother-in-law.
Taking Chhota into confidence, she said that if you kill your brother-in-law, she will return to the village and will meet him daily. Then Chhota told his partner Akbar about the murder plan. He said that he would get five lakhs in return. He said that after the murder, they would divide the money equally. Then Akbar agreed and committed the murder as per the plan on the night of July 17.
Called Neetu and then killed her with a chopper
The SSP said that on the morning of July 17, the accused Chhota borrowed a phone from Javed of the village and called Neetu and asked her to meet. At around 9:15 pm, Neetu reached Chhota’s shop. Chhota told him that a contractor has called him to Daluwala Majbata to give him money. Chhota himself drove Neetu’s moped Vicky. Neetu and then Akbar were sitting behind him. On the way, near the forest, Chhota stopped the moped and signaled Akbar. Akbar took out a chopper and attacked Neetu on the head. Chota hit Neetu four-five times with the chopper while she was writhing in pain and fled.
Met Sonia during hawking in the village
The SSP said that the accused Chhota runs a fast food and cosmetic shop in the village itself. He also used to sell cosmetic items from village to village on his moped Vicky. He met Sonia two years ago during hawking. They started talking on the phone daily and their closeness grew. Meanwhile, after a few days, the woman was taken to Hyderabad by her husband
