UPCL MD Anil Kumar stated that the current electricity demand is around 46 million units, and the availability is similar. Demand for electricity is expected to exceed 50 million units on Diwali. UPCL has made full preparations for this. Electricity will be purchased from the market based on the estimated demand. Any disruption in supply should be immediately reported to everyone, from the subdivision officer to the superintending engineer, who will then relay this information to UPCL headquarters. A control room has been set up for this purpose. The goal is to ensure smooth power supply in the shortest possible time. If a transformer blows, it will be replaced within the shortest possible time. UPCL has also ensured the availability of trolley transformers in all divisions for emergency situations. Not only the supply but also the power load will be monitored. If there are any problems, trolley transformers will be used.
