An incident of firing has come to light in Prem Nagar area of Dehradun on Sunday morning. The incident took place near Nanda Ki Chowki in Prem Nagar police station area. After a quarrel between some students here, two bike-borne youths opened fire in the air outside Gangotri Boys Hostel. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
Prem Nagar SHO Kundan Ram said that there was a dispute between some students of Uttaranchal University. After this dispute, two youths fired two rounds in the air outside Gangotri Boys Hostel at around 3 am on Sunday. Initial investigation has revealed that the students with whom they had a fight live in this hostel.
Police said that the youths who attacked have been identified. Statements of the complainant side have been recorded and action is being taken to register a case in the matter. There is an atmosphere of fear in the area due to the incident. Let us tell you that incidents of firing have happened earlier also between Nanda Ki Chowki and Vidholi Petroleum University.
