The target is to constitute 100% booth committees in all 70 assembly constituencies of the state by December 31 – Congress

The Uttarakhand Congress Party (Uttarakhand) has developed a plan to fully prepare the party’s organization for the upcoming 2027 assembly elections. State President Karan Mahara has outlined a plan for the next two months to expand the party’s organizational structure down to the booth level. Speaking to reporters at the state Congress headquarters, Senior Vice President of the State Congress Committee, Suryakant Dhasmana, stated that upon the announcement of the reorganization of all 27 organizational districts in the state, the new district presidents will be tasked with activating the Block Congress Committees in their districts and reorganizing those that are inactive. He stated that this task must be completed within a week, with the appointment of Block Leaders (BLAs) at all booths by November 15th, and a proposal has been prepared to form 100% booth committees in all 70 assembly constituencies by December 31st. Mr. Dhasmana added that after the formation of the booth committees, the party is planning to organize booth, block, and district-level conferences and training camps in the new year 2026. Mr. Dhasmana stated that all the party’s frontal organizations, cells, and departments will participate in these programs. Mr. Dhasmana added that the party’s national leadership will personally review these programs and will send district in-charges from the national level to accomplish this.
