Every student studying in educational institutions across the state will be linked to Scouts and Guides. Two lakh youth will be registered in the first two financial years, for which instructions have been given to the officers of Bharat Scout Guide. Apart from this, the officers were asked to prepare a concrete action plan to establish units of Scout Guide in all educational institutions, so that children can get knowledge of discipline and practical moral values along with school education.
Bharat Scout and Guide Uttarakhand’s Regional President and School Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat today held a special meeting of the Regional Council at Scout Guide’s Regional Camping Center Bhopalpani, Dehradun. In which he gave the target to the officers of Scouts and Guides to increase the number of Scouts and Guides to two lakh within the next two financial years. He also asked the officers to make a concrete action plan to implement Scout and Guide compulsorily in all private and government educational institutions and to establish its units, so that maximum number of boys and girls can get the benefit of this scheme. In the meeting, along with reviewing the annual activities of Scouts and Guides, future action plans were also discussed.
Dr. Rawat released the e-magazine during the meeting of the Regional Council of Bharat Scouts and Guides. He said that through this magazine, the youth of the state will not only get information about Scouts and Guides, but they will also get information about the excellent work done in adventure activities and various campaigns. Before this, he also inaugurated the multiple wall line of the Regional Camping Center. After the meeting, officials from various districts who performed well in various programs were also honored.
Bharat Scouts and Guides Uttarakhand’s Regional Commissioner Guide and Director SCERT Vandana Garbyal, State Secretary RM Kala, Joint Secretary Kalpana Dhami, Organization Commissioner Scout BS Bisht, Organization Commissioner Guide Anjali Chandola, Training Commissioner Scout RS Negi, Treasurer Dr. Daljit Kaur, Headquarters Commissioner Hemlata Bhatt, DRM Bharti, District Chief Commissioner and Chief Education Officer of Dehradun and Tehri districts along with other departmental officers were present in the meeting.
