The results of the annual elections for the executive committee of the Haridwar District Bar Association for the 2025-26 term have been declared. Chief Election Commissioner Pradeep Paliwal formally announced the election results late Saturday night. Jasvinder Singh ‘Montu’ won the president’s post by a margin of 115 votes.
According to the chief election officer, the counting of votes began at 11 AM on Saturday and continued until around 9 PM. Following this, the names of the winning candidates for all positions were announced. For the president’s post, Jasvinder Singh received 384 votes, while Tarsem Singh Chauhan received 269, Sushil Kumar 214, and Jagdeep Sharma 121 votes. The vice-president’s election was a close contest. Meenakshi Kapil won with 292 votes. Her nearest rival, Rao Farman, received 279 votes. Sushil Kumar Pal received 180 votes, Alok Rajput 120, and Renu Doli Upadhyay 92 votes.
For the secretary’s post, Vipin Chandra Dwivedi won with 696 votes. Ashok Kumar Kashyap received 177 votes, Arvind Kumar Srivastava 73, and Dr. Raman Bharti 27 votes. For the joint secretary’s post, Jitendra Kumar Singhania was declared the winner with 444 votes. Sunil Kumar Sharma received 310 votes and Shahnawaz 181 votes. For the treasurer’s post, Mahesh Kumar Singh won with 375 votes. Ashu Sharma received 159 votes, Mayank Tyagi 166, Sandeep Verma 120, and Upendra Dutt Sharma 133 votes. For the accounts inspector’s post, Rakesh R. Chauhan won with 578 votes, while Kuldeep Kumar received 351 votes. For the librarian’s post, Neeraj Kumar Veer was declared the winner with 372 votes. Pankaj Kumar received 171 votes, Rajlakshmi Upadhyay 165, and Sukhdev Pratap 258 votes. These are the votes received by the executive committee members:
Basant Kumar Chaturvedi, Dixit Singh Rathore, Prashant Saini, Lalit Kumar Saini, Ankit Bhoriwal, Dinesh Chandra Pandey, and Mohit Singh were declared victorious in the executive committee elections. The chief election officer expressed gratitude for the cooperation in conducting the peaceful elections. Assistant election officers Ashwani Saini, Sunil Chauhan, Prafull Sharma, and Pankaj Chauhan were also present during this time
