New Delhi: The Winter Session of Parliament 2025 is underway. Today, Tuesday, is the seventh day of the session. Discussions are taking place in the Lok Sabha on SIR and in the Rajya Sabha on Vande Mataram. Manish Tewari, representing the opposition in the Lok Sabha, initiated the discussion on electoral reforms. Meanwhile, Home Minister Amit Shah discussed Vande Mataram in the Upper House of Parliament.
Before the House proceedings began, a meeting of the NDA constituent parties was held at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium. Leaders from all parties, including PM Modi, attended the meeting. It is reported that PM Modi may host a special dinner for all National Democratic Alliance (NDA) MPs on December 11th. This is part of efforts to strengthen coordination, increase participation, and facilitate grassroots strategy during the ongoing winter session of Parliament. According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was congratulated and honored at a meeting of all the ruling NDA MPs following their landslide victory in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Bharatiya Janata Party National President J.P. Nadda were also present at the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting held in the Parliament House complex.
Leader Sanjay Jha of the Janata Dal (United) and Upendra Kushwaha, President of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha, honored Prime Minister Narendra Modi by garlanding him. Earlier on Monday, a delegation of NDA leaders from Bihar met with PM Modi and congratulated him on the alliance’s landslide victory in the state elections. PM Modi said that Nitish Kumar was the architect of the Bihar victory.
Senior ministers, floor leaders, and MPs from all parties are expected to attend the dinner on December 11th. Discussions will also include strategies for preparing for the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Assam, allowing alliance partners to refine their strategies ahead of the crucial state elections. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, while providing information about the NDA meeting, said that PM Modi urged MPs from allied parties to work with greater zeal for the welfare of the people following the ruling party’s landslide victory in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. He emphasized that with a great victory comes great responsibility. PM Modi also urged all MPs to work for their constituencies. The Prime Minister also emphasized reforms in all sectors to make people’s lives easier and ensure they face no difficulties. He further emphasized that laws should help the people and urged MPs to connect with the youth.
He added that during the meeting, PM Modi spoke about implementing reforms in every sector to make life easier for the common man. The public has seen the work that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accomplished in his third term, and he has urged all NDA allies to work with greater speed and unity to move the country forward even faster.
The Union Minister further stated that the Prime Minister thanked all NDA allies for their “excellent performance” in the Vice Presidential election. He also requested feedback on the Union Budget to be presented next year. He also mentioned the nearly 78,000 crore rupees of unclaimed public money in banks. He said that a total of approximately 1 lakh crore rupees is unclaimed in the banks and insurance sectors. The public does not even know that their money exists. Please help in getting it back.
In the 243-seat Bihar Assembly elections held last month in October, the NDA won 202 seats. Meanwhile, JD(U) supremo Nitish Kumar became the Chief Minister of the state for the 10th time. Of the alliance partners, the BJP won 89 seats, the JD(U) 85, the LJP (Ram Vilas) 19, the Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) five and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha four.
