The honorarium of 40,000 Anganwadi workers and assistants in the state will be increased. A government committee will decide on the amount of honorarium increase, according to BL Rana, Director of the Women’s Empowerment and Child Development Department.
According to the department’s director, a government-level committee has been formed to increase the honorarium of Anganwadi workers. Anganwadi workers have been assured that the department will lobby the government committee for a maximum honorarium increase. Regarding promotions to supervisor positions in the department, Anganwadi workers have been assured that applications for vacant positions will be released within a week.
According to the department’s director, an Anganwadi Workers Welfare Fund has already been established. Retiring Anganwadi workers will receive a lump sum of at least โน100,000. This amount will increase by 5% each year based on their service in the department.
