A dense fog has enveloped the Haridwar-Delhi National Highway as night falls. The thick blanket of fog has drastically reduced visibility, forcing vehicles on the highway to move at a very slow pace.
Even the headlights are proving ineffective in the dense fog. Drivers are being extra cautious in many areas.
The police and administration have appealed to drivers to avoid unnecessary travel at night and, if travel is essential, to use fog lights and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.
