Manchester: The fourth test match of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy played between India and England at Old Trafford in Manchester ended in a draw. With this, India is trailing 2-1 in the series. Now the fifth and final match of this series will be played from July 31, by winning which Team India would like to level the series 2-2.
India scored 358 runs in the first innings. After this, England scored 669 runs in their first innings and took a lead of 311 runs over India. Team India scored 425 runs for 4 wickets in the second innings. Seeing no result of the match in the last session of the fifth day, England and India decided to end the match on a draw by mutual consent.

Shubman Gill and KL Rahul played an important role in drawing this match for India. After losing (0-2) wickets, Rahul and Gill together made a partnership of 166 runs for the third wicket. Rahul returned to the pavilion on Stokes’ ball in the 71st over after scoring 90 runs, while Shubman Gill played a brilliant century of 103 runs and was sent to the pavilion by Archer in the 83rd over.
After this, Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja showed excellent game for India and both played century innings. Sundar played a century innings of 101 runs with 9 fours and 1 six in 206 balls. This is the first Test century of Sundar’s career. Jadeja played an innings of 107 runs with 13 fours and 1 six in 185 balls, this is the 5th century of his Test career.
England’s first innings – 669
England scored 669 runs in the first innings. Joe Root scored 150 runs with the help of 14 fours in 248 balls with the bat in the first innings for England. Ben Stokes scored 141 runs with 11 fours and 3 sixes in 198 balls. Apart from these two, Jack Crowley scored 84, Ben Duckett scored 94, Ollie Pope scored 71 and Brydon Carse scored 47 runs. Ravindra Jadeja took 4 wickets for India.
