To take stock of the damage caused by heavy rains, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi visited several affected areas including Sahastradhara, Seragaon, Kanthbangla Basti of Rajpur and Karligad in Dehradun district. On returning from Delhi, Minister Joshi directly reached the affected areas and inspected the situation.
During the inspection, he met the affected families and enquired about their well-being and assured them that the state government is fully standing with them in this hour of crisis. He instructed the concerned officials to conduct relief and rescue operations on a war footing so that no victim faces delay in getting help.
The minister also provided food to the NDRF team personnel engaged in relief and rescue operations in Seragaon and the disaster affected families. He said that the priority of the government is to provide immediate relief to the affected people and all possible assistance will be provided.
During this, BJP state minister Neha Joshi, former head of Seragaon Ratan Negi, Sanjay Singh and local people were also present.
