Congress spokesperson Dr. Pratima Singh issued a statement regarding the Ankita Bhandari murder case, commenting on the revelations made by the wife of a BJP MLA about the involvement of a VIP in the murder and the disclosure by former BJP district panchayat member Aarti Gaud that the bulldozer action was carried out at the behest of Yamkeshwar MLA Renu Bisht. She said that the Bharatiya Janata Party should immediately take action against Dushyant Gautam and MLA Renu Bisht and register a case against them for their involvement in the murder.

She also said that BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt is making baseless statements calling the Congress the descendants of Ravana and the army of the Kauravas, and the BJP the descendants of Rama, but the actions of their leaders are even worse than the descendants of Ravana, who not only commit atrocities against women but also protect rapists and murderers. BJP president Mahendra Bhatt should clarify whether Lord Rama, the epitome of righteousness, taught his descendants to insult and disrespect women?
