The ashes of late film actor Dharmendra were immersed in the Ganges River in Haridwar on Wednesday morning with due rituals. His sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, who arrived in Haridwar with the urn containing the ashes after the funeral, performed traditional prayers with family members and immersed the ashes in the Ganges.
The entire immersion ceremony was conducted in complete secrecy. The family maintained a distance from the media, and even the limited number of people present were instructed not to share any information. According to sources, the rituals were completed at around 7 a.m. at the ghat behind a private hotel in Shravannath Nagar.
After the puja was completed, the Deol family departed from Haridwar for Jolly Grant Airport without any formalities. The entire journey from the ghat to the hotel and then to the airport was also conducted under strict security and secrecy.
