Sports Minister Rekha Arya honoured and blessed the winning players of the 20th National Ice Skating Competition.
More than 500 players from across the country participated in the 20th National Ice Skating Competition held at Himadri Ice Skating Rink in Dehradun between 25 and 30 June. In which 23 speed and figure skating players of Uttarakhand displayed their talent and won 9 medals in various events. On Wednesday, Sports Minister Rekha Arya honoured the winning players of Uttarakhand at her camp office.
On this occasion, Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that after the resumption of the ice rink, the players of Uttarakhand will now make their name at the national and international level in ice games as well. Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that the Indian women’s ice hockey team, which recently won the bronze medal in the UAE, was also given training at the Himadri Ice Rink for a month before departure. Sports Minister Rekha Arya said that talented skating players will be given practice facilities with minimal fees.
On this occasion, President of Ice Skating Association of Uttarakhand Shiv Panuli, Treasurer Jyoti Gairola, Technical Secretary Rupa Singh, Manager Nagendra Singh Negi, Yashwant Singh and Sukhveer Rawat along with many parents were also present.
