Has the greed for property increased so much that even blood relations are proving to be dwarf in front of it. Somewhere the son is forcing his parents to wander from door to door by getting the gift deed of the house done, and somewhere the son and daughter-in-law are fraudulently usurping the ancestral property.
In the latest case, a son along with others cheated his illiterate widow mother and sold the land by putting thumb impression on the documents. The mother realized this when the buyers of the land came to take possession. It was found out that the son had also deposited the amount of the land sold fraudulently in his wife’s account.
This story is of 75-year-old woman Sommi Devi of Tehsil Rishikesh. The elderly woman narrated her pain to District Magistrate Savin Bansal. She told that she has 0.3525 hectares of land in village Sandharwala of Tehsil Rishikesh. She is the owner of half of this property, while the other half is registered in the name of her son Dharmendra.
Son in collusion fraudulently sold mother’s share of ancestral land
In the revenue records, her name is registered jointly with son. Woman alleges that son in collusion with some persons said that her share is being separated. So that no legal hurdles arise in future. Her thumb impressions were fraudulently taken on various papers and then she was taken to tehsil on the pretext of separating the part of the land. She came to know about the sale of land when a woman named Vijay Laxmi came to take possession of the land.

Woman told that she has not been given any money in lieu of sale of land. That amount has been deposited in the account of her son’s wife. Woman has demanded that the fraudulent sale deed be cancelled or status quo be maintained on the land till the settlement of the case
