He announced a major operation to expel infiltrators from Bihar and across India. Amit Shah said, “Today I have come to the Seemanchal region of Bihar. I have come to remind the people of my old promise, and now the time has come to fulfill it.”
A major campaign will be launched against infiltrators: Amit Shah said, “I want to tell the people of Bihar that we promised them during the elections that we will free Bihar from infiltrators. This does not just mean removing names from the voter list; rather, we are determined to selectively expel every infiltrator from India.”
“The Bharatiya Janata Party and our government want to make it clear that this is not an election promise. This is the firm resolve of the Narendra Modi government. This will be implemented across the entire Seemanchal region very soon. I myself stayed in Seemanchal for four days during the elections and promised the people that we would free the entire region from infiltrators.” – Amit Shah, Union Home Minister
Araria: Amit Shah’s visit to Bihar is considered significant ahead of the assembly elections in West Bengal. Home Minister Amit Shah made a major announcement in Araria. A major campaign will be launched against infiltrators: Amit Shah said, “I want to tell the people of Bihar that during the elections, we had promised the people of Bihar that we would free Bihar from infiltrators.” This doesn’t just mean removing names from the voter list, but we are determined to selectively expel every single infiltrator from India.
“The Bharatiya Janata Party and our government want to clarify that this is not an election promise. This is the firm resolve of the Narendra Modi government. This will be implemented across the entire Seemanchal region in a short time. I myself stayed in Seemanchal for four days during the elections and promised the people that we would free the entire region from infiltrators.” – Amit Shah, Union Home Minister
I have come to remind them of my promise: Amit Shah, smiling, said that usually the public reminds leaders of their promises, but today I have come to remind the people of mine because I need the support of the people of Seemanchal. Infiltrators take away the rations of the poor and also diminish employment opportunities. This is a huge challenge to the security of the country.
A strategy will be formulated in a major meeting in three days: The Home Minister stated that the time has come to launch a campaign to rid the country of infiltrators by working at every level across the country. In three days, we will hold detailed meetings with all ministries of the Government of India, the Home Ministry of the Government of Bihar, District Magistrates, District Development Officers, Superintendents of Police, and various organizations to formulate an action plan.
Infiltrators will be expelled from India: All impenetrable encroachments within 10 kilometers of the border will be removed under this campaign. Infiltrators will be identified and deported from India.
Amit Shah addressed the SSB program: Addressing the SSB program during the inauguration of border outposts ‘Leti’ and ‘Indarwa’ in Araria, as well as the e-inauguration and e-foundation stone laying of various Sashastra Seema Bal projects, Amit Shah stated that border security is a key responsibility of the SSB. In 2001, the SSB was entrusted with the security of the 1,751-km-long India-Nepal Barh Bagher border.
“In 2004, the SSB was entrusted with the security of the 699-km-long border with Bhutan. Even under the most challenging circumstances, you (the SSB) have always cared for the security of the borders and the well-being of the Indian citizens living in the villages. While you are responsible for the security of the Barh Bagher border, I want to draw attention to one thing: we must protect friendly relations.” – Amit Shah, Union Home Minister
Communication, Contact, and Good Relations: Amit Shah said that it is not necessary that elements intent on harming our country enter India using domestic routes. Therefore, the Border Security Force must maintain a close vigil and strengthen its sources of information. Therefore, both Border Security Officers and soldiers must have communication, contact, and good relations within the border villages. Only then can we obtain information from the villages.
Amit Shah’s directive to create a SOP: The Home Minister said that we should utilize and cooperate with the armed forces across the border. Along with border security, there are illegal smuggling, narcotics, and many other activities that we need to keep a close watch on. I would like all SSB officers to work together to create a SOP that should be taught to soldiers during their training.
