Soldier Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi visited the under-construction Sainyadham in Guniyalgaon, Dehradun, to inspect the progress of the construction. He reviewed the progress and instructed officials to ensure quality and timely completion.
Speaking to the media, the Soldier Welfare Minister informed that the inauguration of the Sainyadham is also planned during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s expected visit to Uttarakhand on November 9th, the silver jubilee of the State Foundation Day.
On this occasion, Soldier Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi stated that the grand Sainyadham, dedicated to the soldiers, will be completed soon. He stated that this Sainyadham is the result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and the Dhami government’s commitment, which he is honored to fulfill. After studying various memorials across the country, Sainyadham was chosen as the most prestigious. He explained that two soldiers are revered in the Indian Army: Baba Harbhajan Singh and Baba Jaswant Singh. The Sainyadham will feature a museum, theater, and light and sound show, showcasing images and stories of the martyrs’ valor. Minister Joshi said that after the inauguration, just as people go to visit the Char Dham, similarly people will definitely come to visit the Sainyadham to pay tribute to our brave sons and to know their stories. During the inspection, instructions were given to give priority to other construction works including the establishment of Nakshatra Vatika.
During the inspection, Secretary of Sainik Welfare Department Deependra Chaudhary, GOC Uttarakhand Sub Area Major General MPS Gill, Deputy GOC Brigadier Ram Singh Thapa, former GOC Major General Sammi Sabharwal (Retd), Additional Secretary and Director Sainik Welfare Shyam Singh along with officers of Sainik Welfare Department, Drinking Water Department, Administration and Police were present
