CS Tomar, Director of the Meteorological Center, stated that due to the formation of low pressure, heavy rain is expected in Uttarakhand until October 8th. Even today, heavy to very heavy rain is forecast for most parts of the state. Snowfall is also expected in higher elevations. He added that after October 8th, the weather will remain dry throughout the state. He added that post-monsoon rains typically occur.
