The BJP will deploy its Booth Level Agents (BLAs) at all 11,733 polling booths in the state by December 31st, before the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Review (SIR) begins. This was reviewed in a virtual meeting with all BLA-1s on Tuesday.
Political parties are required to deploy their BLAs at all 11,733 polling booths. The BJP has deployed its BLA-1s in all 70 assembly constituencies, but has not yet fully deployed its BLA-2s. A total of 144 BLA-1s have been appointed in the state so far, including 70 from the BJP. The BJP has deployed a total of 2,836 BLAs, but this figure is still far from 11,733.
In a virtual meeting of BLA-1s on Tuesday, it was decided to expedite the deployment of BLA-2s at all booths. It was also decided to compile a list of potential BLA-2 workers. BLA-1s will be deployed after preparing their documents as required by the Election Office. It is believed that these BLAs will play a crucial role in the SIR.
A campaign will also be launched for migrants.
Before the SIR, the BJP will reach out to all migrants. We will try to convince them to cast their votes in their villages and exercise their franchise here. A strategy is being developed at the organizational level for this. Responsibilities will also be assigned soon.
We will appoint all BLA-2s across the state by December 31st and provide this information to the Chief Electoral Officer’s office. Every organization worker will work diligently to assist voters during the SIR
