In accordance with the High Court’s guidelines regarding the seniority of secondary teachers within the School Education Department, the seniority list will be submitted to the court within three days. Departmental officials have been issued necessary instructions in this regard. Furthermore, instructions have been given to expedite the pending promotion cases of officers within the department. State School Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat held a review meeting with the Education Department at his official residence today regarding the teacher seniority, promotion, and transfer cases pending in the High Court. It was decided that, in accordance with the High Court’s guidelines, the seniority list of approximately 3,300 secondary teachers will be submitted to the court before the next hearing. Departmental officials have been instructed to prepare the list promptly and provide it to the court before the next hearing date, September 23rd. Furthermore, instructions have been given to conduct a prompt DPC for officers within the department and promote them to the vacant positions. He also directed departmental officials to seek proposals within a week for the transfer of various categories of teachers under Section 27, which includes teachers and staff suffering from serious illnesses, their parents, spouses, and children. Additionally, disabled teachers and staff, their parents, spouses, and children, as well as widows, widowers, divorcees, abandoned women, and spouses of teachers serving in the armed forces and paramilitary forces. Furthermore, the meeting directed that officials from the nearest development block/district be given additional charge of vacant principal positions to strengthen the educational and administrative systems in DIETs and residential schools. The departmental minister also reviewed the progress of repair and construction work in schools damaged by the disaster. He directed officials to utilize funds sanctioned under the Disaster Relief Fund in a timely manner.
