Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a virtual meeting from his camp office in Khatima on Friday regarding preparations for the Sardar@150 Campaign to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The Chief Minister directed the District Magistrates to prepare a detailed action plan for the successful organization of the Unity March. He said that grand cultural and public awareness programs should be organized in schools and colleges. Active participation of youth, women, local bodies, NCC, self-help groups, public representatives, and various social organizations should also be ensured in this campaign. The Chief Minister directed that information about all scheduled programs be shared at the state level so that the campaign’s message reaches as many people as possible. The Chief Minister stated that the objective of the Sardar@150 Campaign is to spread the message of national unity to every household. He urged that this program should be organized in a grand and inspiring manner to convey the contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and his resolve for a united India, a great India to the people. The Chief Minister said that the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel should be celebrated in a historic manner so that the new generation of the country can draw inspiration from his contributions and ideas. He said that Sardar Patel, with his indomitable courage, strong will, and skill, made India a strong nation. He said that Sardar Patel laid the foundation of a united India by uniting the various princely states of the country. It was through his efforts that India was established as a united and unified nation. The Chief Minister said that Sardar Patel’s diplomacy and foresight have played a major role in the history of independent India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has carried forward Sardar Patel’s dreams. Under the Prime Minister’s leadership, India is being moved forward in every field with the vision of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’. In honor of Sardar Patel, the Statue of Unity was built in Kevadia, Narmada district, Gujarat. It is the world’s tallest statue and a symbol of India’s unity, integrity, and national pride. The Chief Minister said that Sardar Patel’s ideas still inspire the country towards building a united, harmonious, and strong India. The VC included DM Nitin Singh Bhadoria, DM Champawat Manish Kumar, SSP Manikant Mishra, and others. Unity Marches will be held in all 13 districts of the state. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that under the Sardar@150 Campaign, citizens are registering themselves on the My Bharat portal. Programs include social media reel competitions, essay writing, quizzes, and the Sardar@150 Young Leaders campaign. An Unity March will be held in all 13 districts of the state between October 31st and November 16th. This Unity March will be held for three days, consisting of an eight- to ten-kilometer walk, open to any citizen. Additionally, a national padyatra will be held from November 26th to December 6th. This 152-kilometer padyatra will be held from Karamsad (birthplace of Sardar Patel) to the Statue of Unity in Kevadia. Two young people from each district will participate in this march, selected through the My Bharat portal.
