Sainik Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi today reviewed the preparations for the Shaheed Samman Yatra to be held in the month of October with the officials of the Sainik Welfare Department at the camp office.
In the meeting, the Sainik Welfare Minister instructed the officials that all the necessary preparations related to the program should be completed in a timely manner. He said that special attention should be paid to the grandeur and dignity of the event.
Sainik Welfare Minister Joshi said that Shaheed Samman Yatra will be organized in Lansdowne on 05 October. During this, the families of the martyrs will be honored by presenting copper plates. He also instructed the officials that the District Sainik Welfare Officers of all the districts should play an active role in the preparations of this Yatra and the outline of the program should be completed in a systematic manner. During the meeting, he also instructed the officials to renovate Sainik Rest Houses across the state and develop infrastructure for pre-recruitment training.
Sainik Welfare Secretary Dipendra Chaudhary, Director Brigadier (Retd) Amritlal, UPNL MD Brigadier (Retd) JNS Bisht, along with departmental and implementing agency officials were present in the meeting.
