As per the instructions of Hon’ble Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority, Nainital and Hon’ble District Judge / Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Dehradun, Shri Prem Singh Khimal Ji, today on 04th September 2025, Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Dehradun, Smt. Seema Dungrakoti, under the “safe drugs: safe life campaign”, a joint inspection of various medical stores in Shimla Bypass Road, GMS Road, Ballupur Road and Kaulagarh Road area in Dehradun district was done by the Drug Department along with the Drug Department, in which Mr. Manendra Singh Rana, Drug Inspector Drug Administration, Mr. Vinod Jagudi and Nidhi Ratudi Constable, Drug Inspector Drug Administration, Dehradun District were present. During the inspection, inquiries were made on the following important subjects like license of medical store, pharmacist’s records, cold storage facility, expired medicines and their disposal process, information about narcotics drug etc. and necessary guidelines were also given. New Khalsa Medical Store, Pro. Vinay Rathore was found present. 04 CCTV cameras were found in the said store. The camera was found in closed condition. Due to which the medicines kept in the fridge had spoiled, which were confiscated by the inspection team. Excessive dirt was found in the said store. Storage and maintenance of medicines was also found disorganized. In view of the irregularities in the said store, it was closed immediately. Pharmacist and Prof. Qasid Hussain were found present at Health Care Pharmacy, Shimla Bypass Road, Dehradun. Expired medicines were not found displayed in the fridge. When enquired about the disposal process, the Prof. did not answer. The record of purchase and sale was also not shown. Record of narcotics medicines was also not found. Expired medicines were also found at other places in the store. 04 CCTV cameras were found in the said store. Excessive dirt was also found. Due to excessive shortcomings, the inspection team directed to remove all the irregularities and the store was closed. Negi Medicos Pharmacy, GMS Road, Niranjanpur Pharmacist Namraj Singh was found present. Temperature display was not found in the fridge. Dirt Excessive storage was found. Storage of expired medicines was also found to be disorganized. 05 CCTV cameras were found in the said store. Bills of medicines purchased and sold by the store were shown to the inspection team. In view of the irregularities in the said store, it was closed immediately. 04 pharmacists and other staff were found present in Mr. Care Pharmacy, GMS Road store. The records of narcotics medicines were checked by the inspection team. Temperature display was found in the fridge. 07 CCTV cameras were found in the said store. Storage arrangements for expired medicines were found. Bills of medicines purchased and sold were observed by the inspection team. Cleanliness arrangements were found to be proper. The inspection team instructed to wear apron dress and show bills of cosmetics. It was also instructed that the store should keep complete and correct records of purchase and sale and not sell medicines without prescription. Sairam Medical Store, Ballupur Road, Dehradun Prof. and Pharmacist Ghanshyam Gupta both were found absent during inspection. 04 CCTV cameras were found in the said store. Storage arrangement for expired medicines was found. Temperature display was found in the fridge. In view of the irregularities in the said store and due to the absence of the pharmacist, the store was closed immediately. Madhu Bros. Pharmacy, Kaulagarh Road, Dehradun During inspection, Pharmacist Himani Joshi was found absent, but after some time she was found present. 04 other employees were found present. Temperature display was found in the fridge and dirt was also found at some places. The bill of medicines purchased and sold in the computer by the store was shown to the inspection team. Storage arrangement for expired medicines was found. In view of the irregularities in the said store, it was closed immediately. Tata 1 MG, Kaulagarh Road, Dehradun 03 pharmacists and 01 intern were found present at the time of inspection. On enquiry, it was told that veterinary and narcotics medicines were not sold by the store. Temperature display was found in fridge. 03 CCTV cameras were found in the said store. Storage arrangement for expired medicines was found. The inspection team observed the bills of purchase and sale of medicines. The cleanliness arrangement was found to be proper. The inspection team directed that the store should keep complete and correct record of purchase and sale and should not sell medicines without prescription
