As per the instructions of Hon’ble Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority, Nainital and Hon’ble District Judge/Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Dehradun, Shri Prem Singh Khimal ji, today on 02 August 2025, Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Dehradun, Smt. Seema Dungarakoti, under the “safe drugs: safe life campaign”, a joint inspection of various medical stores in Jakhan, Dilaram Chowk, Rajpur Road, and Ghantaghar area in Dehradun district was done by the Drug Department along with the Drug Department, in which Mr. Manendra Singh Rana, Drug Inspector Drug Administration, Mr. Vinod Jagudi and Nidhi Ratudi Constable, Drug Inspector Drug Administration, Dehradun District were present.
During this, many deficiencies were found in the medical stores, in which Bali Chemist, Jakhan, Rajpur Road, Dehradun and Apollo Pharmacy, Jakhan, Rajpur Road, Dehradun were found to have deficiencies in the purchase-sale register of medicines and storage of medicines and necessary guidelines were given.
Sadbhavana Pharmacy and Clinic, Jakhanan, Rajpur Road, Dehradun And due to excessive irregularities and mismanagement in Life Care Pharmacy, Ghantaghar, Dehradun, both the stores were closed on the spot.
In the stores of Shiva Medical, Jakhan, Rajpur Road, Dehradun and Goodness Pharmacy, Rajpur Road, Dehradun, instructions were given to maintain proper cleanliness and install temperature display in the fridge as well as not to sell medicines without prescription.
Similarly, joint inspection is done every month by the District Legal Services Authority, Dehradun with the Drug Department, and on finding ordinary irregularities, the store operators are warned and on finding excessive mismanagement and irregularity, the purchase and sale of medicines is stopped and the store is closed
