Minister Ganesh Joshi said that under the Prime Minister’s able leadership, the country has made tremendous progress in the past 11 years. Over 120 million toilets have been built, housing has been provided to over 100 million people, and food grains are exported to over 80 countries. With continued progress, India will undoubtedly be a developed country by 2047. The Rural Development Minister praised the district administration’s innovative initiative, “Gullak,” organized during the Saras Mela, saying it is a beneficial program for connecting small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, providing them with counseling, increasing production capacity and capital, and providing market access, as well as empowering them and making them self-reliant. He commended the entire district administration team for the successful organization of the fair and offered his congratulations and best wishes. On this occasion, the District Magistrate said that this Saras Mela is being organised from 6th October and will conclude tomorrow on 15th October. Till yesterday, sales worth more than Rs. 1.5 crore have been made. Earlier, Gullak 2 was organised in the Saras Mela to enable self-help groups to partner with private businessmen. Under this, an investor pinch session was organised in which 45 vendors and 22 investors from the Chief Minister Udyamshala Yojana, Uttarakhand State Rural Livelihood Mission and REAP projects operated under the Rural Development Department participated. On this occasion, the investors made an agreement and commitment to invest Rs. 36.50 lakh in the future.
