Rudrapur: A stir was created when the body of an unknown youth was found in a canal in the Transit Camp police station area of Udham Singh Nagar. The upper body of the deceased was covered with a sack. Aadhar card and PAN card have also been recovered from the pocket of the deceased, which are being verified. The body has been taken into custody and sent for postmortem. The police is busy examining the CCTV footage installed around the incident site.
A stir was created in Azadnagar of Transit Camp police station area of Rudrapur city, when the body of an unknown person was seen lying in a canal. Local people immediately informed the Transit Camp police station about the matter. The police reached the spot and tried to identify the body of the youth by taking it out of the canal. But the deceased could not be identified. A sack was tied to the upper body of the deceased. An Aadhar card and PAN card have also been recovered from the pocket of the deceased, in which Devratan Singh is registered as a resident of Bareilly. The police have taken the body in their custody and sent it for postmortem.
Transit Camp Inspector Mohan Pandey said that on Thursday morning, July 17, information was received that the body of a young man was lying in the canal near Azadnagar Ward 4 Brilliant Academy School Road. The team that reached the spot took the body in their custody and tried to identify the deceased. But the deceased could not be identified. Aadhar card and PAN card have been recovered from the deceased’s pocket. The CCTV footage installed nearby is also being scanned.
