Roorkee: A tragic accident took place in Roorkee during the Kanwar Yatra. Two teenagers from Firozpur, Punjab, who were returning with Kanwar, died after being hit by a pickup vehicle. The condition of one remains critical.
The incident is said to have happened late Wednesday night. The accident took place at Lakhnauta intersection of Jhabreda. The pickup vehicle suddenly hit two teenagers walking on the road. One Kanwar pilgrim died on the spot, while another died during treatment. An injured Kanwar pilgrim has been referred to a higher center. The deceased in the accident were identified as Harsh (16) and Asmit (15), residents of Lalkurti Firozpur, Punjab.
