A divorced woman was shot dead in Shivaji Nagar. The incident occurred on Saturday night at 10 PM when the woman was alone at home. A young man arrived on a motorcycle and knocked on her door. As soon as the woman opened the door, the young man fired a pistol through the mesh door, the bullet striking her directly in the chest. She died on the spot.
Kotwali Station House Officer K.C. Bhatt said that the deceased woman has been identified as Preeti Rawat (32), a resident of Yamkeshwar.
