Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway is blocked due to debris in Sirohbagad since last night. Passengers were stopped for some time in Sonprayag due to rain on Kedarnath Yatra route.
Yamunatri Highway is closed for the 12th consecutive day near Ojri, due to which passengers and local people are facing a lot of difficulties.
The construction of Bailey Bridge here by Highway Construction Division is in the final stage. EE Manoj Rawat said that dag plate is being laid on the bridge and it is likely to be opened for traffic after noon. 87 roads are closed in the state due to debris after rain. According to the State Emergency Operation Center, efforts are being made to open the closed roads.
According to the operations centre, 17 roads are closed in Chamoli district, 9 in Bageshwar, 1 in Almora, 3 in Champawat, 5 in Dehradun, 7 in Nainital, 6 in Pauri, 15 in Pithoragarh, 4 in Rudraprayag and 8 in Tehri. While 12 roads including a highway are closed in Uttarkashi district
