Dehradun: When the Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert regarding rain in Uttarakhand, its effect was also seen on Saturday. Heavy rain in many mountainous areas of the state including the capital Dehradun has disrupted normal life. Due to this rain, the people of the plain districts facing humidity have got great relief from the rain.
After the sunshine in the morning in Dehradun, heavy rain during the day changed the weather. People who were feeling hot in the morning got relief due to rain during the day. There was very heavy rain in the city. Due to which normal life was affected. People also tried to avoid coming on the road. On the other hand, due to rain, the temperature in Dehradun decreased by about 4 to 5 degrees Celsius. Due to which people suffering from heat got relief.
The Meteorological Department had already predicted that heavy rain may be seen in five districts including the capital Dehradun. For this, the Meteorological Department had also issued a yellow alert for these districts. Apart from Dehradun, these districts included Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Nainital districts. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert related to strong winds for the hill districts.
Monsoon has already reached Uttarakhand. In such a situation, the effect of monsoon is also being seen in many districts. On the other hand, it is being said that rain will continue in some places in the next 24 hours. In this way, the district administration was also kept on alert in the districts that are likely to be affected by rain. The Public Works Department has also given instructions to focus especially on such areas in the state where there is a possibility of landslides. In case of obstruction of such routes, they have been asked to be opened immediately.
