New Delhi: Ramoji Group Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Cherukuri Kiran met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Thursday. He shared the joys of Eenadu’s Golden Jubilee and ETV’s Pearl Jubilee celebrations with the Prime Minister. ETV Network CEO K. Bapneedu was also present with CMD Kiran at the meeting.
The top leadership of the Ramoji Group also presented mementos to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to commemorate Eenadu’s 50th anniversary and ETV’s 30th anniversary. Following this memorable meeting, CMD Cherukuri Kiran said, “I had the opportunity to meet the Prime Minister and presented him with mementos to commemorate Eenadu’s 50th anniversary and ETV’s 30th anniversary. ETV CEO K. Bapneedu was also present with me.”
Chairman Cherukuri Kiran said that Prime Minister Modi was delighted to recall his meeting with the late Ramoji Rao, the founder chairman of the Ramoji Group. Recalling the Gujarati-language program “Annadata” on ETV, the Prime Minister expressed his fondness for the program. Cherukuri Kiran informed him that this popular program continues to air today. “We told him that we are still continuing it in Telugu,” he said.
During his meeting with Prime Minister Modi, CMD Cherukuri Kiran shared information about the recently launched Sabala (Ramoji Group’s millet-based food brand). He also sought PM Modi’s valuable input on the product. He said, “We requested him to provide valuable advice on the products, and he graciously agreed.”
The CMD expressed his happiness that they are encouraging millet farmers to support the poor farming community. He said the Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes to the Ramoji Group. The popular Telugu daily newspaper Eenadu celebrated its golden jubilee last year and expressed its commitment to maintaining its commitment to the common people. Over the years, Eenadu has played a key role in shaping a narrative that serves society as a responsible media organization. Launched on August 10, 1974, from Visakhapatnam, the Telugu daily continues to expand its reach, overcoming all challenges.
ETV Network’s first TV channel, ETV Telugu, was launched on August 27, 1995. Carrying forward Eenadu’s legacy, ETV now has a large network of TV channels. Last month, ETV celebrated its 30th anniversary, with many eminent personalities from the media and cinema world attending.
